What’s coming next on In Your Pocket. Exclusive Interview with RNIB Connect Radio

Our Managing Director Nick Howden, joined Allan Russell on the Daily Connect show on RNIB Connect Radio this morning to chat about the what’s coming next on In Your Pocket, the fully voice controlled phone for people with sight loss.
Nick also explains how we developed In Your Pocket with the RNIB and shares some touching stories of customers we’ve been able to help more recently in lockdown. If you missed the interview this morning you can catch it again at 4pm today.

And we’ve already heard from one happy listener:

Coming in from a very wet walk with my guide dog, I turned on RNIB Connect Radio and listened to a lovely interview while drinking my coffee.

What struck me was the way Nick Howden told the story of a senior 90 something in hospital and away from family and friends. Her In Your Pocket smartphone saved the situation for her. Not only was she able to hear from friends and family, but she kept up her reading of books and newspapers to while away the tedious hospital routine hours. Like many of us, I too have spent days and weeks in hospital not able to see the tele or read my books. Nick sounded rightly very proud of what his company has created for blind and low vision people.
